Prefatand cel de-al treilea LP si al 5-lea material discografic al trupei Sincarnate, dupa LP-ul "In Nomine Homini" din 2017, "Praise to a Dying Sun" este o piesa ce aduce aminte de radacinile doom-death ale trupei, asa cum s-a consacrat ea odata cu "On the Procrustean Bed" EP din 2007. Atmosfera generala este una depresiva, presarata uneori de pasaje mai furibunde dar care mentin aceasi linie apasatoare cu care Sincarnate si-a obisnuit ascultatorii de la inceputurile trupei. Abordarea lirica este una metaforica, in care inevitabila disparitie a soarelui, vizeaza, prin folosirea unui omofon, o tragedie mult mai personala.

Announcing the third LP and the fifth recording of Sincarnate, following the last LP "In Nomine Homini" launched in 2017, "Praise to a Dying Sun" is a song that brings back memories from the past, when the doom-death influences played a major role in the band history (like on the first recording, "On the Procrustean Bed" from 2007). Depressing at its core, the song is enhanced by short furibunde passages which add to the oppressing general atmosphere which characterises Sincarnate's new approach, to be expected on the new record. Lyrically the song approaches the inevitable end of the Sun, and consequently, the end of life. On a second note, the use of an homophone within the title obscures the real, more devastating tragedy the song is really about.
